Interpol and David Lynch’s Collaboration at Coachella

The collaboration is now being released as a limited series of eight NFTs, through HIFI Labs. It’s Lynch X, Interpol is called by them. They collaborated for a decade, and were introduced to the public in 2011 as a nonfungible token series by the New York band InterpolLynch’s original animated short film I Touch a Red Button Man used its song, ‘Lights,’ as a visual backdropA video of the short film, soundtracked by the song, was then circulated online. A 2011 collaboration with David Lynch was released by Interpol as an NFT. The New York band performed during Coachella 2011.  Among the performance were 3 songs by Lynch. Lynch and Interpol have a limited series of eight NFTs up for grabs on the new Interpol website.

It appears fans will be permitted to create a 3D gallery based on their own artistic touch on one of the NFT’s. The auctions for Lynch X Interpol begin on October 26th. Lynch would be strongly opposed to anything similar given his history with technology. A while back, he made it very clear that he thinks movies should be viewed in theaters instead of on smartphones. Yes, real. He was satisfied with the idea because these NFT’s are being sold by him. Fans will have the chance to do their best on one of the NFTs in a 3D gallery as well. The auctions for Lynch X Interpol begin October 26th. Lynch has a history of technology, and he strongly opposes this whole thing. A while back, he made it very clear that movies should be viewed in theaters instead of on smartphones. They are real. An old project has been formatted for online viewing and pricey, but is still interesting. Interpol is interested in seeing Lynch X Interpol NFT’s exist. To be truthful, we are exceedingly pleased to have ever been able to align our name with David Lynch in an artistic forum. In our minds these are worthy of preservation in the infinite digital realm. Presented in the film include new reimagined versions of light movies and bit by bit segments. Frontman Paul Banks says the new performances feature stripped down renditions featuring lead guitarist Daniel Kessler on piano. Actually, the more acoustic takes may be Interpol most poignant, digging deep to take each clip to new artistic enth. David Lynch was meeting with Interpol members in 2008 to discuss working together on a future project. The collaborative discussions continued in 2010, with plans for Lynch to produce visuals for Interpol’s performance at Coachella. After seeing the movie, they came up with the song Lights. In collaboration with HIFI Labs, new NFT’s were created. The latest in an ever increasing pool of celebrities, artists, and musicians. At the beginning of the year, Grimes cashed $6 million. Even the dead can’t escape the trend.  Chris Cornell’s final portraits were auctioned off as NFTs back in August. The website features a 3D gallery that lets you add their personal creative touch to the free version of the NFT. One contributor will take home the piece. Lynch x Interpol auctions are open from October. The dates for this event are until November 26. It is nine. Interpol revealed back in September that a new album was being released next year. As David Lynch’s career helped push the boundaries of film and fiction, it is now extending into the permanent universe of blockchain. Interpol reimagines parts of ‘Lights’, their song that is a jump forward to the present. Lynch and Interpol, who collaborated in the collaboration, have created a series of seven pieces that will live in the infinite digital realm forever.
